Huge Selection

Not only do we supply lamps for just about any projector ever made – that’s over 8,000 different makes/models - we also provide our customers with a choice of Manufacturers’ Original (OEM), long life Diamond Lamps which offer similar performance to the OEM but are typically 20% cheaper and the ”Genie” range of budget compatible lamps.

We also have access to the largest available stock of any online reseller which means, chances are, we will be able to ship it to you today.

Not only do we have the widest range and the largest stock, but we also offer our customer a choice of three lamp types:-

Manufacturers’ Original or OEM - These are provided by the manufacturer e.g. Sony, Epson, Mitsubishi etc. of the projector or RPTV who supplies both the lamp module and the cage or housing. These are generally excellent quality in terms of both performance and life and are typically warranted by the manufacturer for 90 days. They are, however, nearly always the most expensive.

Genuine - These are manufactured by organizations that source bulbs from the original lamp developer holding the technology patent (e.g. UHP™ from Philips, P-VIP from Osram etc.) and combine these with a cage or housing sourced elsewhere. Genuine lamps are manufactured with the full endorsement of the original lamp manufacturers. Projector Lamp Genie supplies the long life Diamond range of “Genuine” lamps. We have sold over 3,000 to date, and found then to be of excellent quality and performance and we have experienced a failure rate during the warranty period of just 1%. These lamps come with a 120 day manufacturers’ warranty.

Some customers have expressed concerns that installing a “Genuine” lamp will invalidate the projector warranty. We do not believe this to be the case, but it has never, too our knowledge been tested in a court of law. To overcome the concerns, Diamond Lamps themselves warrant the projector against any damage caused by a Diamond Lamp. You can typically expect to pay 20% less than the OEM price for a Diamond Lamp.

Compatible or Copy - Copy lamps do not use bulbs originally used by the OEM and have one distinctly attractive feature in usually being the cheapest option. Knowing it’s an imitation, it is generally understood that there will be compromises in quality and it’s a matter of deciding what’s acceptable. Projector Lamp Genie supplies our own branded “Genie” range of compatible lamps. Our experience is that these are not as reliable as either the OEM or Diamond versions, although we have refined our supply chain to source from better quality suppliers. They are however cheap – typically 30-50% of the cost of an OEM model.
